The Joomla! 1.5 Show TweetPhoto Module 1.0.0 (2009/12/16) release is now available.

Show TweetPhoto is a simple Joomla! 1.5 module to display pictures posted by Twitter users on TweetPhoto. Features include showing pictures in single or multiple picture modes, and displaying the description when the mouse is over the picture. Requires PHP5+ with cURL library enabled.

The Joomla! 1.5 Stack Overflow Flair Module 1.0.0 (2009/12/16) release is now available.

Stack Overflow Flair is a simple Joomla! 1.5 module to display your user badge from Stack Overflow. Requires your id number from the profile page URL and has four themes to select from.  This module implements the iframe version of the flair code snippet and displays the badge at a fixed width of 210 pixels.

The Quake 2 Map Info 1.0.0 (2010/02/24) release is now available.

This command line utility will parse a Quake 2 map file to report how many entities and textures are being used.  Useful for spotting extra items to improve gameplay balance and/or reducing extra textures to increase map speed.  Most map editors do not provide a detailed breakdown of what is inside a map.

On a related note, the forums were reorganized to accomodate this growng list of Joomla !.5 modules.

The ISP hosting my three websites and a dozen email accounts disappeared from the Internet for 36 hours last week, starting on Thursday morning at 10:00AM and ending Friday night at 9:30PM. If the outage had lasted less than 24 hours, I would’ve shrugged my shoulders and went on with life. Outages do happen from time to time. I started looking into alternative web hosting when 24 hours came and went, and discovered that my domain registrar, DirectNIC, could host my websites for half the monthly cost that I was paying. By the time the outage was over, I had already transferred my websites over. This was purely a business decision.
