The redesign of CDR&A is now completed. After the content that used to be here was moved to the author website, this website became an empty, negelected shell. The bigest change was moving the Joomla! 1.5 Show TwitPic Module software and support forum from the blog website to here. (Please go to the software page for more information.) I'm planning to develop similar modules for TwitGoo and yFrog in the near future. The website redesign will support that.
Using a tweaked Demi template from JoomlaPraise for the redesign. I have seen many different Joomla! templates elsewhere—and even paid for a few—but I keep coming back to a JoomlaPraise template. I like their layout design and tweaking the template is very clear. If I see something I want to change, I know where to make the change without having to muck about four or five different files. I'm using a tweaked version of the PraiseCorp template for my author website. After I finish coverting 12 years of content from my legacy website to my blog website, a paid JoomlaPraise template will be the basis for that redesign.
Although none of my websites has a webcomic, the information on Webcomics was quite useful for my website redesign. Especially the articles on tweaking an existing webcomic website for presenting a clean user interface.

The roadmap for December 2009 includes two planned releases for the Joomla! 1.5 Show TwitPic Module and the possible release of the Joomla! 1.5 Show TwitGoo Module.
The first update will be out in the next week or two with mostly minor tweaks. If you're happy with the current version, you may not need this update.
The second update will be out towards the end of the month with a new caching mechanism for storing thumbnail pictures on the server. If you're displaying mutlitple pictures, the pictures still have to be fetched from TwitPic and everything shuffles into place after a few seconds. This effect is noticeable on my blog website with eight pictures being displayed. The default module and page caching doesn't apply to this situation.
With the caching mechanism in place, the Show TwitPic code base will be complete. A copy of that code base will be modified to become the Show TwitGoo Module to display pictures from TwitGoo, which is upgrading the API to support RSS feeds. Expect to see this before the end of the month or in early January 2010.
Still planning to create a Show yFrog Module next year (not sure if that would include video support). A component version to display pictures on the page is something I'm studying further. Of course, full support for Joomla! 1.6 when that comes out.

The Joomla! 1.5 Show TwitPic Module 1.3.1 (2009/12/11) update is now available.
- Picture position field supports comma-separated list of position or id numbers from RSS feed. - Removed picture count field (now determined by number of items in picture position field). - Added CSS height/width to images to avoid shuffling of multiple pictures. - Removed module parameter cache option (made no performance difference). - Minor tweaks that made the programmer happy.
